Zero-derivation is a morphological process by which a word undergoes a change in meaning or part of speech without undergoing any overt affixation. This type of word formation is also referred to as ‘identical shift’ or ‘conversion.’ ex: In English the verb ‘walk’ is identical in form to the noun ‘walk’.
